334 viewsMy rebuilt tranny still had oil in it. But tipping it on it's bell-housing would let the oil leak out the breather port. So I pushed a plug into the hole on the breather and securly zip-tied it. Worked perfectly to hold the oil in while I swapped tail covers.Aug 06, 2006

315 viewsThis is what I saw when on the tanny end when I removed the tail cover. That dumbbell looking gear stack directly in front is what goes on the shaft that is inside the tail cover.Aug 06, 2006

922 views(This is a copy of the last picture but the disassembly is the opposite of the assembly :-) ) Unbend the tabs surrounding the retaining nut and remove the nut. Grab the top of the sender assembly and pull the tube away from the top. This will expose the float and wires.Jul 05, 2006

780 viewsSnug the nut down but don't over-tighten! Carefully bend the tabs back over the nut to keep it secure and from rotating. If that nut falls into the tank consider it gone and your outer tube will drop to the bottom of the tank and clunk around, possibly damaging the sender's wires!Jul 05, 2006
