331 viewsSolution: 1/8" cork gasket with a 1/16" stainless-steel washer under each mounting ear. This is a spacer, not really a gasket. The gasket material is used to hold the washers (well, along with some Gas-A-Cinch) and help prevent the mounting ears from getting torque stress during starting.

330 viewsMy original pulley lock that I got a previous mechanic to whittle out of steel for me. It's rough but it still serves me well to this day. This is what inspired me to design the newer version, using www.emachineshop.com CAD software and manufacturing.
Though it can be used with the engine out of the car, it makes the job much easier when the engine is in the car and the pulley fan needs to be removed.
